The CAMS (Community Access Management and Surveillance) Staff Manager is responsible for overseeing safety, surveillance, and access management for the Tradition Community and Golf Club. This role ensures compliance with community rules and regulations and leads initiatives that enhance security and convenience for residents, guests, team members, and facilities.
Reporting directly to Tradition’s General Manager, the CAMS Staff Manager supervises all security staff, surveillance, and access management officers. The CAMS Staff Manager is responsible for the training, scheduling, and performance of the team, as well as the overall perimeter security of the community.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate within guidelines set by the DCM and Board of Directors; report relevant incidents to DCM, Operations Manager, and Club GM via written or verbal communication.
- Train, supervise, and schedule surveillance and access control officers; ensure fair shift coverage and respond to call-offs. Ensure staff receive training in radio communication, computer use, gate operations, patrol techniques, incident reporting, and DRM procedures.
- Interview and select officers with support from Operations Manager or DCM.
- Oversee proper use and maintenance of equipment (vehicles, radios, cameras, computers) per community standards.
- Ensure staff understand Association Rules and Regulations and receive required legal training.
- Train staff to monitor and report community maintenance issues (e.g., lakes, lighting, landscaping, gates, streets) and notify appropriate personnel.
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of patrol vehicles; report safety/security concerns.
- Train staff to monitor and manage vehicular traffic, enforce speed limits, stop signs, parking, and towing rules.
- Ensure staff maintain current certifications (e.g., First Aid, AED).
- Manage construction gate operations, vendor compliance, and issue citations; recommend policy updates.
- Review and respond to correspondence from staff, Board, owners, Club, DCM, and DRM.
- Verify maintenance and registration of vehicles and golf carts per HOA and DRM procedures.
- Administer gate access software; maintain accurate records and issue transponders; report concerns.
- Oversee patrols of community, course, and perimeter; conduct ongoing risk assessments.
- Monitor surveillance footage, identify risks, and report to Operations Manager and DCM.
- Investigate incidents and direct emergency responses.
- Ensure accurate and complete reporting/documentation.
- Maintain incident and investigation records; ensure legal and policy compliance; coordinate with emergency services.
- Support Club events and infrastructure reviews; attend Club manager meetings and assist with safety/security needs.
- Manage homeowner alarm and key records; ensure proper authorization and documentation for access.

Knowledge And Skills
- Self-driven, well organized and an empathetic leader capable of guiding and inspiring the CAMS team.
- Must develop respectful relationships with the community’s vendors, service provides, colleagues, the Club team, Homeowners and Club Members.
- Looking to grow, learn and develop their skill sets while working collaboratively with the management team and colleagues.
- Familiar with Homeowners Associations, Private Clubs or other customer centered environments and understand the nuances of working with high end clientele where exceptional customer service and excellence is a primary goal.
- Well-presented with excellent communication skills, competent in report writing and has extensive knowledge of, or experience with, security systems and standard operating protocols for Security teams.
- Has several years of successful management experience, including hiring and termination, evaluation, and training
Education And Experience
- Minimum High School graduate or GED, AA degree preferred
- Minimum five (5) years Security ex
- 2-4 years of directly related or closely related experience
- Previous experience in the Community Association or Club industry
- 1 – 3 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience
Certifications or Licenses:
- Industry Specific License (Guard Card)

Wage Range: $70k - $72k annually depending on experience
