The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance and repair work throughout the property, including common areas and facilities. This role requires someone skilled in a variety of trades who can work independently and take initiative to ensure the property is well-maintained and safe.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Rough and finish carpentry (journeyman level)
- Drywall installation, texture and repair
- Stucco patching and repair
- Fence installation and repair
- Interior and exterior painting
- Concrete work (installations and repairs)
- Asphalt repairs and patching
- Lighting installation, retrofitting, and troubleshooting
- Flooring installation and repairs
- Insulation and acoustical ceiling work
- Masonry and plastering
- Tile repair and replacement
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Plumbing repairs and fixture replacement
- Power washing
- Welding as needed
- Repair and replacement of gates, garage doors, and related hardware
- Lock and door hardware repair or replacement
- Gutter and downspout repairs
- Door and window installation, adjustments, and replacements
- Regular property walks to inspect for needed repairs, safety issues, and general maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Solid experience in general building maintenance and repairs (minimum 5 years)
- Skilled in multiple trades with journeyman-level carpentry
- Able to work independently and manage time well
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Reliable and safety-conscious
- Strong communication skills
- Able to utilize multiple communication platforms
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required. relevant certifications or trade training a plus
Language Skills
The individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization. Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable.
Availability
Available during regular business hours and after business hours, as necessary
