 About the Community: 
We manage the Grayhawk Community which is an upscale master-planned community located on 1,615 acres in the high Sonoran Desert. Dwellings include single family, condominiums, townhomes, villas, and a luxury life-care retirement with an assisted living section. Grayhawk features two distinctive yet interconnected neighborhoods – The Park and the Retreat Village, consisting of almost 3,800 residential units.
The Park is made up of family-friendly neighborhoods with pocket parks, greenbelts, playground areas, and Ramada. The Retreat Village consists of two guard- gated communities, which include six tennis courts and seven individual neighborhood swimming pools and spas for use by Retreat Village residents. Other amenities include over 30 miles of multi-use trails; a two City of Scottsdale neighborhood parks; public and private schools; Boys and Girls Club campus; two 18-hole world-class championship golf courses; retail shopping and dining; commercial and office developments; and a medical campus which includes a 184-bed hospital.

 Reporting Structure 
- Reports to the Facilities Director for the Community who provided guidance, leadership and support.
 - Takes guidance from the Community Manager as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities
- Oversees the activities of 2 maintenance/groundskeeping staff in the Community.
 - Responsible for assigning work orders and seeing that they are completed properly.
 - Provides guidance and assistance where needed to team members with their assigned tasks.
 - Works with the Facilities Director to resolve work orders that exceed standard daily process.
 - Supports daily upkeep of the Community grounds and facilities by groundskeeping and maintenance staff; works with Maintenance Manager to plan and allocate staff.
 - Monitoring, prioritizing and completing maintenance work orders.
 - Operating within OSHA standards and company safety policies, including monitoring, reporting, and resolving issues with common area/amenity equipment, tools, and vehicles.
 - Supporting the Facilities Director through record keeping, assignment tracking, and vendor assistance.
 - Maintaining the inventory of supplies / equipment needed to perform duties by team.
 - Provides coverage and support when the Facilities Director is offsite or unavailable.
 - Works in conjunction with maintenance associates to accomplish goals in the Community.
 
 Requirements for the Position: 
- Must have at least 2 years of general maintenance knowledge as well as best practices for care/upkeep of community amenities and common areas.
 - General knowledge of or willingness to train: Skills/experience in carpentry, electric, plumbing, and other building trades.
 - Experience in landscaping, irrigation, and ground maintenance is highly helpful.
 - Must be organized, efficient and have the ability to recognize the level of quality acceptable to keep facilities looking their best.
 - Ability to communicate with residents, managers, and peers in an effective way.
 - Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
 - Flexibility to work after-hours and weekends.
 - Problem solving skills.
 - Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving history.
 - Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and physical .
 - Ability to lift 50 lbs.
 - High school diploma or equivalent.
 - Must be 18 years old.
